Ian Soffe founded Open Systems Specialists Ltd, specialising in standards-based IT infrastructure. Air New Zealand was one of our first clients and became a loyal customer throughout our journey.

From Two to a Crew
We grew from two staff members to eight staff members and started working with One NZ (formerly Vodafone), who remains a valued client today.

Big Moves, Bigger Milestones
When we exceeded 30 staff members, we moved from our Normanby Road office to a larger space on Grafton Road. We also started providing managed services to
Air New Zealand.

Ian established OSS Group to help clients solve a broader set of problems, including strategic planning, investment decisions, project management, and the reliable operations of applications software and platforms. Also, we opened an office in Wellington.

By 2017, OSS Group and Open Systems Specialists Ltd had provided digital solutions to over 100 businesses and organisations in the private and public sector.

OSS Group acquired Open Systems Specialists Ltd, bringing together its capabilities and those of its specialist subsidiaries and selected partners to offer a full suite of services to its clients.
